Activities are free and open to the public: frequent star parties, observing classes for beginners, mailing lists, meetings featuring
speakers on a wide range of topics, school star parties. A loaner telescope and mentoring program is available to members.

Annular Solar Eclipse 5/20, 5:00 PM SJAA will set up for safe solar observing of the eclipse at Houge Park. Come see this great event.
Public Star Party 5/25, 9:30 PM View Moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Beehive cluster, show objects of spring. Bring telescope, or just yourself!
Board of Directors Meeting 6/2, 6:00-7:30 PM Board meets to discuss clud plans, ideas and business. All are welcome to attend and participate.
General Meeting 6/2, 7:30 - 8:00 PM Social meet and greet. Come for refreshments and meet other astro enthusiasts before our speaker begins.
6/2, 8:00 - 10:00 PM Speaker: Dr. Peter Nugent will speak on Supernova 2011fe.
Transit Of Venus 6/5, 2:30 PM SJAA observing program to view the transit of Venus. Location. At Houge Park.
