Jose Astronomical Association Activities are free and open to the public:
frequent star parties, observing classes for beginners, mailing lists, meetings
featuring
speakers on a wide range of topics, school star parties. A loaner telescope
and mentoring program is available to members.

SJAA is a 501(c)(3) charity. Memberships and
donations are tax deductable. Support the SJAA!
Before we talk about membership, please note that all activities
are open to all who are interested, and you are most welcome to
come along and participate in any and all of them. Be assured that
you are most welcome at all observing sessions. The only thing amateur
astronomers like better than looking through their telescopes is
to have other people look through their telescopes!
Membership Benefits - The annual dues include:
1. Eligibility for our loaner
scope program.
2. Eligibinlity to our observational astronomy mentoring program.
3. 10% Discount on selected items at Orion Telescope in Cupertino,
and Scope City in San Francisco.
4. Dicount subscriptions to Sky
& Telescope and Astronomy Magazines.
5. Use of the SJAA e-mails lists - for announcements and notification
of new issue of the SJAA newsletter, the Ephemeris.
6. Members may vote in club elections and hold office.
But the greatest benefit is that you will be supporting SJAA's programs.

renew your subscription at least 2 months before the expiration
