

The first suggestion is to not over magnify your image. There are some guidelines on the web for how the select the right magnification. I would say if I looked in my scope and saw this I would get a lower power eyepiece.
Some amount of poor seeing is a fact of life, particular if you view from the middle of a heat island like Houge Park. What can you do?
Your brain is fortunately wired to help with this problem. While looking through a telescope is a new human activity trying to see fine detail through in an unsteady atmosphere is not. If you really LOOK, and by that I mean don’t just take a quick glance, it is amazing how much you can see.
This image simulates the boiling view you might see on a night with marginal seeing. Studying the image and not just glancing at it will reveal much detail. Try this for yourself. At the end of this program is a clear image of the same area. You will be amazed how much detail you can pick up if you just LOOK.
