Since this star party has no big bright stuff, we must have local darkness. Jeff said that he'd work on getting some of the lights tuned off. The soccer field would be okay if not watered for a few days preceding. If the lights can't be turned off in a more convenient place, I'd go for the field. It definitely works great out of doors under an overhang, with no sunlight, or on a cloudy day. We also had it set up in the shade of a tree, and the sunbeams which sometimes shone through impaired the experience. At the last meeting, I had the impression that the indoor lighting would be sufficient. I'll have to ask Irwin if he has had it set up indoors.
