SJAA Electronic Mailing Lists

SJAA operates two email lists, one for board of directors business and one for announcements only. To subscribe (or unsubscribe) go to:

     Announce - a moderated list for official club announcements only
     Board - club business

We urge all members to subscribe to the announce list; it will have only a few postings per month and is moderated to avoid difficulties. The board list is for club business that would otherwise be conducted at a board of directors meeting; any member may join in but this is boring stuff. Archives of old messages from all three listsare available via the above links. This includes minutes of the board of directors meetings.

You must be a current member of SJAA to subscribe to these lists (although the archives are available to all).  This is strictly enforced on the board mail list.

• TAC: more general Bay Area astronomy topics such as observing reports, Bay Area observing sites, discussions of equipment, or the sky itself are more appropriate on the TAC list. Many SJAA members subscribe to the TAC list, too. SJAA suggests using the TAC list if you want a dialog on some topic.To subscribe mail to sf-bay-tac-request@seds.org
