Robert Armstrong, Lee Hoglan, Rich Neuschaefer, Rod Norden, Gordon Reade,
Kevin Roberts and Rob Jaworski were present.  Greg Claytor and Mark Wagner
were absent and excused.

October Meeting Minutes

October minutes were approved unanimously.

Treasurer’s report – Robert Armstrong

-------------------------------------

Robert reimbursed Gordon $64.13 for mailing expenses, and advanced Gordon
$200.00 postage by check payable to Postmaster.  Our previous bank account
(with Craig, Rob, and Robert named) is still open awaiting completion of a
couple of transactions.   The CA Franchise Tax Board wants a list and an
estimate of the fair market value of club assets.  Lee agreed to make this
estimate.

Beginners’ Astronomy Class – Rod Norden/Gordon Reade

Dec 11th Hogue and Beginning Astro Class- Gordon Reade will present a class
to be determined.  Mark opens.

Dec 19th - General Meeting:  Rich opens.

Jan 8th - Houge and Beginning Astro Class - Rod scheduled to do Winter
Constellation Class. Attendees are encouraged to bring their binoculars.  Mark
opens.

Jan 22nd - Houge, Kevin opening & closing

Jan 30th General Meeting:  Rich opens.

School Star Party Program – Gordon Reade

Gordon indicates that status is OK.  School Star Party information is

Membership – Mark Wagner

Gordon reported that in our attempt to go electronic, we will print 210
copies.  Note that the Bulk Mail minimum is 200.  We will try to have 40
copies for Orion, with Orion getting at least the first page.

Lee reported that the Solar Telescope was returned.

New Board Member

Rob Jaworski was appointed unanimously to an open position on the SJAA
Board.

City Recognition of SJAA Star Parties

Jim van Nuland and Gordon Reade will attend the Mayor’s State of the City
Community Breakfast on 18 Feb 2010 at 7:30am.  They will sit at the Vice
Mayor’s table.
