SJAA offers a large number of specific Classes and Programs that are aimed to assist participants in learning more about specific aspects of astronomy. These educational programs are meant to help those who are interested in advancing their knowledge of astronomy and how to use the tools used by amateur astronomers. Some classes and programs exist to share experiences in certain aspects of astronomy with other amateur astronomers.
